Model: NX510v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: ISP provided

Hello, week ago I bought used NX510V. After needing to band lock I figured out that FW from original ISP (O2 Czech Republic) blocked it. Is it possible to gain stock firmware and remove isp one? Thank you. Mark

  @zaldasan

In my experience with MR600v2 + ISP FW, most of these blocks are cosmetic only (the underlying mechanism is intact).
If this is the case with nx510v, you have very good chance of unhiding these html elements .

The best extension i found is a firefox (desktop) one called 'unhide nodes'  https://tinyurl.com/2xt9zr5f

To use it, start firefox, goto 192.168.1.1, goto the network page where these band option is missing etc.., click 'unhide nodes' button from FF toolbar, click on the page where the band select should be and it should become visible .

If you dont want to use FF extentions for some reason , You can also do it  but it can be more tricky to navigate / configure.
In Firefox goto 'view' > 'page style' > 'no style'

This will remove CSS and expose hidden elements .

Re:used nx510v - stock firmware
Yesterday

  @ng6333

I'm in the same situation as @zaldasan: I bought a used NX510v from a second hand electronics store with a bunch of these for sale.

It was factory reset and worked fine at first. But it drops its 5G connection every day or two; 4G appears more stable. When I looked to update the firmware I found that option missing as well as the Backup and Restore options. It also misses Bridge Mode and Band Selection and probably others as it's on a version of 1.1 when there is a 1.2 available.

It appears to be an ex-ISP CPE unit and on startup it is very slow cos I guess it is trying to phone home to the ISP checking for updates.

I tried using TFTP (this worked for older TP-Link routers for me) and I tried holding the Reset button during power on many times for up to 20 seconds.

I've also tried the Firefox options to unhide menu options but I've had no luck. I don't think this can be marked as a Recommended Solution since it doesn't appear to work.

I see others having the same problem in Romania with ex-Orange units. Somebody must know how ISPs unbrick or bootstrap these routers.

Otherwise I like this router and I'd really like to keep it as I have a lot of TP-Link kit across 4 locations and it all works well for me.
