WPA4220 Firmware
Hi everyone
Like many of us, older version of .nvm firmware generated frequent dropouts. Recently I came across an article which recommends updating of the .nvm firmware for WPA4220 and PA4010. I cannot update the firmware for WPA4220 because there is only the option to upload a .bin file on the web interface. I remembered that the older version of the web interface with the firmware that the kit came with allowed flashing of .nvm and .pib files but the latest versions don't.
I then tried to find an earlier version of the .bin type firmware but downgrading is no longer allowed.
The question is, how can I bypass the restriction to forbid downgrading? It would be even better if I could just flash the .nvm file invidivually.
many thanks

Hi,
If you are really serious about updating the Qualcomm firmware of your WPA4220, then you could try it this way: https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/204238?replyId=542774
But please acknowledge that there is a chance you might brick your WPA4220 in the process.

@woozle Thank you for your reply.
Indeed I did try this. I could successfully update my PA-4010 but it is not working for WPA4220. This is the error I am getting:
"No NVM Softloader Present in Flash Memory (0x71): Device refused request"
Would anyone here have a flash dump so that I can try updating the flash through a physically connection ?
