Hallo liebe TP Community,

Hello dear TP community,

I recently switched from Fritzbox to TP. I'm using a VX800v as my internet router and a RE500X as a repeater. I use Wi-Fi Calling on my mobile phone.

The signal is great everywhere. Wi-Fi Calling also works fine — except when I move out of the router’s range and into the repeater’s. Then the call drops, and in 90% of the cases, I have to turn off Wi-Fi on my phone, wait a bit, and then turn it back on.

Everything is connected via EasyMesh.

My phone is a Samsung S25 Ultra. I have to say, I had absolutely no issues when using Fritzbox.

I'm using the default settings on all my TP devices. Are there any settings that could fix this issue?

Hello @BixelBen,

Welcome to our community.

Do you mean that network switching is seamless when using a Fritzbox and RE500X in EasyMesh?

VX800v is a customized device specifically designed for local Service Providers. Its software is tailored to meet the unique requirements of these providers, ensuring alignment with their specific needs. Due to the specialized nature of the firmware on your device, our ability to provide troubleshooting may be limited.

We can certainly offer some troubleshooting tips that may help resolve your issue. Please consider the following:

1.Disable the EasyMesh between the VX800v and RE500X for comparison.

2.Change the channel on the VX800v for a try.

If the problem persists after trying these steps, we recommend contacting your Service Provider who supplied the device or local support, as they are best suited to provide the necessary assistance for your device.
