Only 3 of the 4 lights are on the adapter and 2 of 3 lights on the extender. It isn't working. Can someone tell me why not/how to fix? Thank you

Hi,

 

It depends on which LED is not on.

 

If the "Powerline" LED is off (the one with the  pictogram), then either the two Powerline adapters are not paired or the distance between the two is too large. In these two cases the fixes would be to pair the adapters or to bring them closer together, respectively.

Many thanks Woozle - one of the powerlines starts flashing when I take it downstairs, but remains on when I bring it closer to the adapter. I think this means it is out of reach?

  @Mads123 ,

Yes, that means the distance between the power outlet downstairs and the main adapter is too long, or the electrical environment along that section is unstable.
