Hi, I have a Tapo D235 doorbell and the Hub H200.

 

I want to automate so that when I'm home, I do not get motion detection notifications, but when I'm away, I do get them. Anyway to automate that based on geolocation? When I try to use 'the 'smart automation' feature, I only see the option to automate 'privacy mode' on ot off, which doesn't work for me, as privacy mode also stops live recordings, and I don't want to do that.

 

If anyone has a workaround then it would be much appreciated.

  @10TP  I'm afraid this is not possible through automation so far. But there is an easy way for you to switch on and off the doorbell notification -- using the Home/Away mode feature. Check this article to learn more: How to edit Home and Away Mode for Tapo Cameras on the Tapo app

  @Wayne-TP ok many thanks for the reply and instructions. Shame it can't be automated, but this is second best.

  @Tapo 

Please make it possible to change between "Home Mode" and "Away Mode" in automations... Its absolutely standard and there is noch sence to change the status every time manually.
