Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.71 build 25080612 rel. 70421

After the last firmware updates of my Deco X50-5G and 3x Deco X50 i have the following problem.

The 3x Deco (1 wired connected to Deco X50-5G) are coming up in the app as not connected. But on all 3 the green light is on. So connected.

I have made al units powerless and restarted them but no avail. Deleted the app en reinstalled it.

Firmwares:

X50: 1.71 build 25080612 rel. 70421

X50-5G: 1.3.0 build 20250724 rel. 41491

What is the solution?

  @Mackan

Hi, thank you very much for your time and patience.

It is suggested to test the latest beta firmware 1.8. for Deco X50_v1 here:

Deco X50_V1_1.8.0 Significantly Expanded the Client Connection Details and Added Channel Selection

Best regards.

If everything is working correctly you should have received an email with the TKID number in the subject. If not no worries one of the staff members should be able to look it up.

  @HelpFixDecoApp

Thank you again.

I have send in the records twice but I'm not receiving an email. Also checked spam box.

Checked account email and that's correct.

@HelpFixDecoApp

Have you or someone else have the chance to link my reports to this thread? The problems are still there and are getting bigger in the form that de Deco's now also are offline physical with the red light blinking. But still send out a wifi signal. But it is completely annoying because devices keep connecting and disconnecting.

After restart it works (in app still offline, but green light on the Deco's) for a time and then they go out again.

  @David-TP

Thank you for your message and support.

But after contact with tech support we came to the conclusion that the problem was persistent and not solvable in a normal time.

I have then decided to return the complete TP Link infrastructure to the seller. All returns have been handled.

In the meantime I'm using the 5G modem/ router supplied by the 5G operator. That's a Zyxel NR5307.

I'm blown away by the difference in performance and stability. The Deco X50 5G would need a manual restart minimum 2x day because of issues. The Zyxel only did a auto reconnect once in 4 weeks of use!

So I'm sorry to say that I'm not using the Deco X50 series anymore. We're expecting fibre-optic internet in a couple of months and the company we choose is using AVM Fritzbox so we'll be going for the AVM Fritzbox Mesh etc. This because I don't want to experience the problems we had with Deco X50. The X50-5G has been a troubled device from the start with little to no support.

I don't expect us to return to TP Link devices in the future.

But that said thank you and your colleagues again for the help.
