Model: Archer MR200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.6.0_0.9.1

Hi,

I really need to manually select the network operator: I am really close to country border and the signals from the other countries are stronger so I need the router to stick to my network even if the signal id absent for a while. Otherwise it will go on the foreigner network (roaming disabled so no internet connection) and then never switch back. I saw the update is only available for newer version, can't say why. Seems to me like a very basic feature

  @ivanito

Hi, have you tried to manually create an APN profile so that Archer MR200 will use the customized APN profile instead of automatically detecting the SIM ISP?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP dear David, thank you for your answer. Unfortunately apn is not the issue: I need to stick to the same network operator as the signal form the others is better therefore when the signal of my operator disappears the router will connect to the wrong one and never come back to the correct one. This setting is "manual" on many phone settings instead of automatic. It seems an update was release for more recent versions of the router but not for this one 2.0

  @ivanito

Hi, thanks for the update.

Do you refer to the following feature, take NX200 as an example:

I'll record it first, but since Archer MR200_V2 was EOL for quite a few years, it is very unlikely to add new features via firmware upgrade.

Thank you very much.

Best regards.

  @David-TP yes, that's what I was talking about :) I cannot say since which version the setting was available or made available via update. Quite a basic one, though. Probably the product was meant to use sim card as a fallout solution only and not really to generate a network based solely on 4G connection. thanks again Ivan
