Model: Archer AXE5400
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2 Build 20250107 rel.52099(5553)

I've seen videos of how to block urls but my tether app doesn't show a "TARGET" option after access control nor am I able to change the mode to URL? Any ideas on how I can block certain urls from being able to come thru my router?

Hello@Sullivan718 ,

Welcome to our community.

If your router or app does not support direct URL blocking, you may need to check for firmware updates or consider using a TP-Link router model that supports more advanced parental controls.

Here are some steps you can try to block specific websites:

1.   Verify Parental Control Settings.
2.   Clear Cache and Cookies: On the devices you want to restrict, clear the browser's cache and cookies.   This can help ensure that previous access attempts do not bypass the parental controls.
3.   Disable VPN Software: Make sure any VPN connections are disabled on the devices you are controlling, as VPNs can bypass parental controls.
4.   Disable Secure DNS Feature: On the controlled devices, open the browser settings and go to Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Use secure DNS.   Turn off the secure DNS feature, as it may allow users to bypass website blocking.
