Model: Archer AX72
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.45

Hi,

So I have had 3 AX72 routers setup for quite some time, and they have been great - not the quickest if using the web interface.. but not the slowest either.

The config I had (and still have is):

Internet --> AX72 router (main)

Then from AX72, using wires

AX72 router (main) --> AX72 (satellite 1)

AX72 router (main) --> AX72 (satellite 2)

I used to get a weird thing where sometimes I would have to turn all the routers off and then load them in a set order.. but on the whole, it was great.

Well seeing as I have a deadspot in my house, I thought - lets grab 1 more and have

AX72 router (main) --> AX72 (satellite 3)

Since then - and it was at the exact time I upgraded to the latest firmware (1.45) my main router has factory reset itself twice.

Once randomly at 10pm at night - unfortunatly i was away on business so had to wait until late the next day to fix.

And then today, I have to then go through the process of setting up the main one (without any wires in), then connecting each easy mesh in order to get them all set back up.

I guess I have two questions - is 3 satellites not supported?

Is there a potential bug in the latest firmware that is causing the main router to shutdown and factory reset itself - and by that I mean - full lock up and when rebooted it is using the wifi and passcode on the back of the router - which I obviously don't use once setup, and all settings inside have wiped (password etc)

If you do support 3 satellites, is this a bug in 1.45 that has been introduced?

Thanks in advance

Just to note that all devies are on the same firmware (I ensured thet before setup) and the 4th port on the AX72 router (main) goes to a gigabit switch, for the rest of the house hard wired connections

Hello @Tail_uk ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

When you say "main router reset itself," do you mean it will immediately return to factory mode? Do you need to complete the entire configuration process again?

Could you check whether anyone else has access to manage your network?

Please remove a router (not the new one) and test if the same behavior occurs.

How many clients do you have on the entire network? Please turn off some wired devices and see if there's any improvement.
