Model: Archer BE550
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Glad I bought it. But the router doesn't save: advanced, system, accessibility, "increase contrast" settings. Why is that? Or what should I do? Or is it a software bug? Thanks for reading and hopefully answering, best Ren

Hello @516616666109887 ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

For comparison, have you tried a different browser? Or, have you tried to log in to the router via another clients? Like a different PC, or mobile phone.

Good question, Ren - that setting is supposed to persist after saving, so if it’s reverting back after you reload the page or reboot the router, it’s likely a small firmware bug. You can try these quick checks: Make sure you’re running the latest firmware version (sometimes a newer build quietly fixes small UI issues like this). After toggling “Increase Contrast”, click Save, then clear your browser cache or try another browser to see if it’s a visual caching issue. If it still doesn’t stay enabled after reboot, it’s most likely a firmware UI bug - you can report it directly through the TP-Link Feedback option on the router’s web interface or the Tether app. Hopefully this gets fixed in an upcoming firmware update. Let us know which firmware version you’re on, so we can check if it’s been reported for that build

@Vendex Thanks for your fast answer! Clearing the browser cache seemed the solution. It seemed saved now. But when I went to your website/answer, it was gone again. I use Firefox. So I will report it anyway. The router says I'm using the latest firmware.

P.s. I'm a longtime TP-Link user. I have had two Archer C6s for years and never had a problem. A hardware geek from my internet provider advised me to switch to Fritz! Models, which I did."TPLink was too cheap and people couldn't trust on them for what I did with the internet". I'm running a 24/7-webserver locally. However, I got nuts from this complicated Fritz! Interface, sent it back, and bought your BE550.Happy TP-link user again! smiley Best, René
