AX73 FW
When will you publish the EU FW for the AX73, you released it OTA 3 months ago roughly yet it still isn't available to download from the router support tab.
Tether still trunks the password at 25 characters for this router anyway, others work fine with a 32 character pw still, I did ask months ago but got no response other than from another kind forum user.
Silly things like these are making me consider where to go next for a router when the times comes I need a later wifi spec.
I look forward to your response this time.

Hello anybody there?
Can you at least confirm this is a genuine firmware that you released through the routers own update function or through Tether?.
And if so would you please list it on the support page for the AX73's.

Hi Joseph & thx for replying at last,
The problem with Tether is it will only accept a 25 character password from the router, as I've got a few of your routers laying around another AX model not a 73 Tether still accepts a 32 character password when using Tether with it, which is why I'm questioning why the 717 ending FW isn't listed on the support page as it arrived through Tether in the first place.
The phone is the same phone that worked ok with the AX73 up until the FW update and still works with the different router so it's not the phone and the only bad boy is the AX73, I'd rather not go into exact models other than the AX73 V2 atm which is the problem child as the lack of the FW being on the support page doesn't inspire me that this is one of your FW's for the router or that it was pulled shortly afterwards aka removed as faulty, as it has also locked me out of being able to roll back the FW I'm reaching out to you to establish if this new FW is actually yours.
The fix list which hasn't fixed anything is...
Full factory reset
Full reconfig i.e no backup used
At least one update to Tether was used since the FW update & has made no difference with the AX73, I don't get an error as such it just rejects the password and offers me the option to retry which ends up an endless cycle of the password is wrong, however working back it accepts a 25 character ok.
I would've normally reflashed the FW but that isn't an option atm and I also suspect the FW didn't hit the router properly through the app.
Thank You.

This does not have a solution as it's actually an Omada FW according to the Ai result.
ER605W(EU)_V2_2.0.3 Build 20250717
So somehow Tether has updated my AX73 with a totally different product line FW and I've no way to reverse it now, I've been asking for some info on it for the past 2 months and the silence is about to ensure this goes up the second hand shop shortly and the next router I buy will not be one of yours, I've stuck with you through all the jibs and jokes that the pro's have spat at your company and then when I really need you I got one reply, no real answer and the post drop to page 8 in a matter of days never to be seen again, I'll try bumping this on Monday and if I don't get a response I'll be ending my association with the company.
Joseph, I say sorry in advance if you are simply a user who helps out rather than an actual employee as I used to do the same thing for another manufacturer of other tech HW.
Edit.
From Ai
The query "Build 20250717 firmware info" refers to the TP-Link ER605W(EU)_V2 firmware version, which is a specific build for a router. This version was released around July 2025 and is associated with Omada Controller V5.15.24 for the TP-Link SX3832 switch, but the ER605W(EU)_V2 build was released around July 17, 2025.
This is the published one
https://support.omadanetworks.com/uk/product/er605/v2/
As you can see it's not the same one the Ai is suggesting and tbh it wouldn't be the first time Ai made a mess of it however there was a 0718 FW I found but that's a 2024 FW.
Please sort this out as ignoring me isn't doing anything positive right now.

Hi,
The firmware version string of your Archer AX73 should read "1.2.1 Build 20250717 rel.40826".
20250717 is the date (i.e. 2025-Jul-17) on which the firmware was compiled.
Given the huge number of router models TP-Link is maintaining it would not be too surprising if two firmware for two different router models were to be made on the same day.
By the way, I own an Archer AXE75 that received firmware version 1.4.1 via online update almost three months ago, but to this day this firmware version is not available for manual download yet. So, this sort of thing seems to be nothing out of the ordinary.

There's been an effort from TP-Link, sinnce the beggining of 2025, to provide an actual information regarding monthly firmware updates here.
Although it can be seen that this KB has been updated a week ago, it is obvious that the informaion presented, is not really up to date.

Thank you both for the replies,
I know a lot of FW's are the same but have a relative different number for the FW, your exlaination regarding the date was helpful as I'd never considered the last 4 digits to be the day & month of release or build before, I got the year bit easy enough but never joined the dots on the last bit.
The thing that's been eating me is that as it came from Tether rather than a download & there's not really been any announcement of it officially I was starting to wonder if I actually had a TPL FW or that it might've been so buggy they pulled it or even the download servers had an off day and started distributing the wrong FW to the wrong models.
They have come quite a way in supporting the product since I first started buying their equipment & overall they're good value when compared with other brands for what you get, I would just like the FW to appear on the support page no longer than 14 days after release or it makes you question what actually updated & did it come from the actual company as Tether is wifi, had I had the net page open and found the update while wired into a port I'd be feeling a lot more confident about it plus I like to flush the router fully every so often as I feel it's beneficial in much the same way a regular re-boot is.
Hopefully Joe or Kev will have some input after the weekend, many thanks again for your replies.
