Hi,

I've recently upgraded to fibre broadband with Vodafone in the UK and i'm looking at removing my vodafone supplied router and switching to a new mesh system.

My question is, do i have to buy a pack of Deco routers like the BE65 3 pack, or could i start with something like the BE3600 or BE400 routers, and simply add another BE3600 later as a mash extender if needed? This seems to be the purpose of "easy mesh" but i have found it hard to get any real informtion about how this works.

Finally, I will need to use wireless backhaul for the connection between mesh access points, so if you have a recommendation about that it would be great to hear it. i'm not sure if the number of wifi bands has any benefit for this, presumably you actually need two radios? one dedicated to backhaul for best performance (I think the higher specced eero devices work this way?)

Thanks

Dicki

Hi, welcome to the community.

Do you have any detailed requirements for software features?

Both Deco Mesh and Archer EasyMesh series are nice mesh systems, and they all have their highlights and focus. If you refer to the whole Home Mesh experience, Deco is more recommended.

Furthermore, there are some key points among these two systems:

The basic network configuration and daily management of Deco Mesh are mainly through the Deco App. Archer EasyMesh systems have the Tether APP and web admin UI.

For more details, you can also refer to TP-Link Deco Mesh vs EasyMesh vs OneMesh vs Omada Mesh What's the Difference?

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
