Model: Archer BE800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.3 Build 20250314

Hi.

I've using Archer BE800 AP

In the previous firmware (1.1.6), my device showed TX (RX on the AP) throughput of over 4 Gbps,

but after updating the firmware (1.2.3), the throughput dropped to around 3.2 Gbps.

Could you let me know the changes made between the firmware versions?
Additionally, rollback to the 1.1.6 firmware is not possible for now; is there a way to roll back to the 1.1.6 firmware?

Hello @dyhwang ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

Is your Archer BE800 the US version?  May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:

ISP modem—BE800)))((( client devices

(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )

Besides firmware updates, have you made any other configuration changes to your router, such as QoS or channel width? Does the current throughput directly impact your network's regular operation?

Version 1.2.3 is not the latest. Please check your official website for the latest firmware and try updating manually. If it is an EU version, please click here to install the firmware.

Hi  @Joseph-TP

Thanks for your kind reply :)

Yes. my Archer BE800 is US version,

My network topology is as below.

Linux PC ---10Gpbs LAN-----BE800 )))((( client device

Our company is developing wifi devices, and we measure wifi throughput with iperf.

Since we did not change any enviromental, SW change except BE800's fw (1.1.6 to 1.2.3),

iperf throughput from client device to BE800 get worse as I mentioned in my article. (4.2Gbps to 3.2 Gbps)

And our client wants us to evaluate our wifi7 performance in BE800 AP fw 1.2.3 so I'm asking in here.

It is very hard for us to figure out AP fw's changes (especially AP's RX performance).

So, my request is

1) what is AP fw's biggest difference with 1.1.6 and 1.2.3 if you can answer

2) is there any way to rollback our AP's fw to 1.1.6 from 1.2.3? It seems rollback fw is blocked.

Thanks in advance.

DY.

Hello @dyhwang ,

Could you tell me if your company is a local ISP? Could you please provide specific information?

Firmware update information for Archer BE800(US)_V1, including versions 1.2.1-1.2.4, can be viewed here. Each firmware version has a corresponding release note available for reference.

Please note that you cannot downgrade back to 1.1.x firmware after upgrading to this newer 1.2.1 firmware.
