Reboot schedule lose connection

Reboot schedule lose connection

Reboot schedule lose connection
Reboot schedule lose connection
Sunday
Model: Deco PX50
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

Has anyone experienced same issue as me? I have three px50, in wired mesh. One deco is set as main deco and mode is set to wifi router. It is set to dynamic ip based on my isp. I have a timer socket on my nbn box (hfc) that reboots every day. I found out that if I set up the deco reboot schedule to reboot all decos every day, after reboot, I lost connection. Deco flash red.  I need to manually reboot my nbn box, then everything will be back to normal. If I manually reboot the deco, either by physically swithing the plug, or clicking reboot Deco in the app, it is totally fine. I believe there is a bug in the reboot schedule.

Hello @Kenny029

Thank you for posting on the TP-Link Community.

Who is your ISP, and what is the model of your NBN modem?

Did you reboot the NBN modem and the PX50 simultaneously via the Reboot Schedule/Timer? Or are they rebooting at different times?

When the PX50 rebooted and flashed red, what is the Internet/WAN status on the Deco App?

Could you please provide a detailed network layout? Is it similar to the below? Are there any other devices connected to the Main PX50 via LAN?

NBN modem --- Main PX50 (Router Mode, Dynamic IP) --- satellite PX50 --- satellite PX50

(--- stands for Ethernet cable)

Hi @Kenny029, I set the reboot schedule so that nbn modem and the px50 (using app's reboot schedule) reboot at different times( half hour apart). All px50 are connected by Ethernet cable. when losing connection, it simply say no internet connection in app. network layout is: modem -- main deco -- switch -- two other px50. The issue is the reboot schedule in deco app. I have tested that if I set up the reboot schedule in the deco app, after rebooting, all deco lose internet connection, only after I manually reboot my nbn box, the system will be back to normal. I also tested several times: if I just reboot the nbn box, no the deco, it works fine (internet connection restores) after the nbn box reboot, no action is needed; if I manually reboot all deco (I click "reboot deco" in deco app, choosing all deco), it still works fine after the reboot is done. I believe there is a bug when using "reboot schedule" in deco app.
