Model: Archer VX1800v
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 0.14.0 2.0.0 v6092.0 Build 250417 Rel.24761n

I have an Archer VX1800v running "0.14.0 2.0.0 v6092.0 Build 250417 Rel.24761n" (what kind of version number is this???) as my main router and a RE505x V2 running firmware 1.2.0 Build 20250815 Rel. 43944. Various places on the web suggest that both these devices support ethernet backhaul for EasyMesh, but I can't get it to work; in fact, I can't even get it to work wirelessly - the VX1800v just doesn't "see" the RE505x at all - on the VX1800v if I go to "Add Mesh Device" there are options "Add By Scanning(Recommend)" and "Add By Pressing WPS Button"; I've tried both and neither work.

Before attempting to set up EasyMesh, I did alter a fair few settings on the VX1800v - am I just going to have to reset that to factory as well, or are there any settings in particular that are known to cause EasyMesh to not work?

Hi @DrHD ,

Thanks for contacting our community.

Here is the link about EasyMesh Range Extenders Start Supporting Building a EasyMesh Network via Ethernet Backhaul. The RE505X V2 is not in the list.

There has been no notification yet for updating the firmware of the Re505X to support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul. If it's a new device, you can consider returning it and exchanging it for a model from the list above.
