Deco x60 v3.20 working as ax3000
Hello,
I purchased a Deco X60 (AX5400) system and have been using it for a long time without any issues. However, recently I noticed that the device is not operating at AX5400 performance levels, but instead behaves like an AX3000-class unit.
Here are the details:
-
My Deco X60 units are clearly labeled and sold as AX5400 on the box and product documentation.
-
Despite this, the 5 GHz radio only reports 2402 Mbps PHY instead of the expected AX5400-class performance.
-
The system’s wireless throughput and link rates are consistently limited to AX3000-level speeds, even when testing with multiple high-end Wi-Fi 6 devices that normally achieve higher link rates on AX5400 routers.
-
Nothing in my network setup or environment has changed, so I believe this may be a firmware, configuration, or hardware limitation/issue that is preventing the Deco X60 from performing at its advertised AX5400 level.
I can provide screenshots, diagnostics, model numbers, and firmware versions if needed.

Hi, welcome to the community.
Under Deco APP>WiFi settings>Advanced, can you set the 5GHz bandwidth to 160MHz?
May I know how you found out the 5GHz link rate on the Deco X60-V3.2 is 2404mbps, instead of the 4804mbps?
Deco X60-V3.2 is 4*4 MU-MIMO on 5GHz and supports 160MHz. For general mobile phones, even though they support 160MHz, most are 2*2 MU-MIMO, and the maximum PHY rate is still 2402mbps.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi, thank you very much for the update.
Yes, Deco X60_V3.2 supports Hardware NAT Acceleration.
There hasn't been further news to add EasyMesh to Deco X60-V3.2.
If possible, you can post the feature request here to seek more voters:https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/2252

Can I ask where did you get the 1.30 firmware for the x60 v3.20? (ax5400)
The latest firmware for the x60 v3.20 (ax5400) is the 1.25.
Also, how did you downgrade to 1.25 (considering that if you go to 1.30 it does not let you downgrade).
(the 1.30 firmware is for the x60 v3 (ax3000)
