I faced the same issue with the Archer TBE550E on Ubuntu while working on my CapCut project, and sadly TP-Link is always slow with Linux drivers. For now, the only workaround that helped me was using generic community drivers or a supported USB adapter. Until TP-Link releases official Linux support, there’s not much we can do. Hopefully they push out proper drivers soon because a lot of us are waiting.

Hi,
Given the specs of the TBE550E V1 (320 MHz channel width) and the fact that its Win11 driver is made by MediaTek, the TBE550E must be using the MediaTek MT7927 Wi-Fi module.
Until now, MediaTek has not provided a Linux driver for their MT7927 to anyone. That means neither TP-Link, nor any other company, is currently able to offer a Linux driver to download for their customers.
