Tapo battery cam not recording video
When I press the record button in live view it indicates that it's recording and when stopped it says it's saved in memory.
A new file appears in the gallery but the recording is just showing a black screen.

Can you watch the videos within the Tapo app? You can find the recordings through two paths:
- Camera liveview page, Playback & Download > Download
- Tapo app Me page, Playback & Download > select the camera > Download
You can try watching the videos using other media player apps. If they work in other players, your phone’s built-in gallery app may not support this particular video format (or some of the parameters).

Hi thanks for your reply,
I can see and view clips that are automatically recorded by the camera when movement is triggered, from within the app.
But that's not my issue.
When you are viewing live feed you can hit the record icon and it starts a recording, that recording does not appear in the app it is saved on my phones filing system, it is that file that cannot be viewed.
I have tried on various devices with the same result.

Manually recorded videos will be saved to the app, and also to the phone's gallery if the Tapo app is granted relevant permissions. You can find the videos in the app following the paths i gave above.
