Archer NX200 V2 — No 5G at all: not in Auto, not in 5G-only mode (even my phone gets 5G!)
Hello,
I have a serious issue with my newly purchased Archer NX200 Hardware Version V2.
- The router does not work in 5G-only mode.
When I select “5G only”, the connection immediately drops and there is no internet. - The router cannot detect any 5G signal, even though my phone (with the same SIM card) receives a stable 5G connection in the exact same location.
I also tried selecting specific 5G bands manually in the router settings, but the device still does not connect to 5G.
This is very frustrating because the router is new, and even a very cheap phone with the same SIM card gets full 5G without any issues.
My details:
- Model: Archer NX200 V2
- Firmware: 1.2.0 3.0.0 v60e0.0 Build 250725 Rel.73467n
- Location: Europe, Poland (5G NSA/SA available in my area)
Could you please help me understand what is wrong?
Is this a firmware issue, hardware issue, or compatibility problem with European 5G bands?
Thank you in advance.

Hi, welcome to the community.
Can I have your SIM ISP?
It is very likely that the current SIM ISP uses 5G NSA service, and the "5G-only" Mode on the NX200 is for 5G SA service only.
So please make sure "5G preferred or 5G/4G/3G" is selected.
After that, can you share a screenshot of the Internet status settings, such as:

Wait for your reply.
Best regards.

Hi David,
thank you for your reply.
Here is the information you requested.
My SIM ISP: T-Mobile (Poland)
Network mode selected on the router: 5G preferred
Issue:
Even with strong 5G coverage in my location (my iPhone shows stable 5G NR), the Archer NX200 V2 still cannot establish a 5G connection in Auto or 5G-only mode.
It only connects to LTE bands, and 5G does not activate at all.
Below I am attaching:
- A screenshot of the router’s Internet Status page (NR5G / Band N78 visible)
- A screenshot from my phone showing full 5G signal at the same location
Could you please check why the router does not connect to 5G, even though the signal is clearly available?

Same problem here. Also Poland if this matter. Archer NX200 can't connect to 5G and it is terrible slow on 4G. I have contact my internet provider and they told me that for some reason router cannot loggin to 5G and it is using the slowest band of LTE not the best one. She also noticed that there is something wrong with APN configuration but when I checked it it was ok. I tried to create new profile using her advices but it not worked. For some reason when APN name should be "internet" and so it is on my admin page, but when she checked on her page there was something different, I don't remeber what she called it. Sorry I can't explain it more clearly my English is so bad and I am total layman in this case

Hi, thank you very much for the update.
I didn't see the attached picture on the mobile phone. Maybe you can add it again?
By the way, from the web admin UI on the Archer NX200, it is actually working on the 5G network. Because the ISP uses 5G-NSA, you have seen N78 used for a 5G network, B1/B3/B7 used for a 4G network, and the router is also using 4CAs(carrier aggregations).
For more details, it is recommended to refer to Do Archer/Deco 5G routers support 5G SA and NSA?

Hi, welcome to the community.
May I know your SIM ISP?
Can I have a screenshot of the internet status on your Archer NX200, such as the attached picture here:
By the way, how much of the mobile network speed is on the router?
Have you ever tested the network speed on your mobile phone when using the same SIM card?

Hi,
Thank you for the clarification. Since you mentioned that the current firmware may not fully support 5G band search in NSA mode and that future updates will improve this, could you please let me know if there is any beta firmware available that already includes optimizations for manual 5G band selection on the Archer NX200 V2?
If there is a beta version (similar to the one released for Deco X50-5G), I would be happy to test it and provide feedback.
Thanks in advance!
