Hi

 

I have purchased an AX18 router to complement the TL-WPA7617 powerline Wifi device which I already owned with the intention of setting up an EasyMesh between the router and the powerline

 

However although Easymesh is enabled on the AX18 the  TL-WPA7617 states that the router does not support EasyMesh

 

Is that because the AX18 does not support ethernet backhaul? 

 

If so are there any plans to add ethernet backhaul to the AX18?

Hi - I don't believe the AX18 supports Easymesh over Ethernet backhaul at this time so it wouldnt matter what model of easymesh satellite you wanted to be wired to.

 

There is a list of routers and the firmware that supports Easymesh over Internet Backhaul is here:

For the moment - and until/unless TP Link issue new firmware then I think you're stuck with Easymesh over wireless backhaul only.

 

Also note that although your your AX18 has a speed of AX1500 - it is not the same as the AX1500 (or AX1800) that are on the list at the link I gave you.
