I have just purchased a AX1500 mesh system with 3 Deco X10 units

 

Changed my ISP for a 500 mbps internet speed increase up from 100, but i cant get pass  250mb max speed on wifi when connected to the wifi network created.

Mostly its around 160 - 200 mbps

 

When i connect directly to the modem via ethernet cable i get the full 500 mbps speed.

 

The main Deco is connected with the same cable as i used for the test.

Ive tried a single Deco, the speed improved slightly when i switched the 2.5g network off, its the same on my phone.

 

Have changed the cables a few times but the speed still the same.

 

Qos improved it slightly but not a lot.

 

Any advice on how to get better speed? or what to try

Hi, can I have the model number of the client that was used to test the 5GHz wireless speed on the main Deco X10?

How about its 5GHz wireless link speed during the test:How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

  @David-TP  hey mate, thanks for the reply.

Im using the speedtest app ( is that what you mean? ), connected via cable its 500mbps, via the Deco its 191Mbps, so less than half.

Wireless Tx rate goes between 256 and 1200 Mbps

Hi, can I have the firmware version of the Deco X10?

Have you ever tested the Ethernet connection speed from the main Deco X10 directly?

-When the MacBook Pro is next to the main Deco X10, will its TX rate stay on 1200 Mbps? If we run a speed test at this moment, will its wireless speed still be capped at 250mbps?

 

By the way, how much of the wireless speed do you wish to receive from the 5Ghz of the main Deco X10 via smartphones or MacBook Pro？

Hey mate

I exchanged the unit for a X50 as it was only a week old and a small price difference, same problem .. its a tad quicker but not even half of the 500

I wasn't expecting  the full 500 but thought id get at least half, i got 350 once when close to the main unit but only once

 

Firmware is 1.2.10

 

Macbook pro via cable is full 500 Mbps as per internet plan

 

Mostly around 168 Mbps down 40 odd up

Hey David .. just tried next to the main Deco and 490! I made a iot network for my stuff and now its 350 in the next room as well.. I tried turning all things off mentioned in the articles and changed channels.. so fingers crossed that is it
