Issue with wired ethernet devices dropping off Deco network and coming back online.
Hi all,
Hope someone can help advise. I have had my 3 unit Deco XE75 Pro version 2.0 (I think) setup running on firmware 1.3.0. I have had these for a while, all has been great, but more recently i have started to connect a couple of machines via ethernet.
The issue i have is occasionally the wired devices just drop off the network for a few minutes. Then they come back online and work fine.
Initially i had one small home server doing this, this was the only wired device i had. I thought that server was the issue, so i disconnected the Realtech ethernet, installed a decent Intel NIC and the problem remains.
I thought maybe that deco unit the server was wired into was the issue, so i spun up a RaspberryPI and wired that into another Deco unit. The problem remains and both machines drop off the network at the same time as far as i can tell, and both start responding at exactly the same time.
I will be honest i am a bit lost with this, i have tried to go through the logs but i cannot see any reference to the two wired machines at all, they currently live on 192.168.73.21 and 192.168.73.21. .21 is DHCP and .200 is statically set.
Just for fun i have used AI to look at the logs to see if anything meaningful came out of it, and it has gone from blaming my Alexa speakers and now my Android mobile phone causing a "massive storm of errors and causing the nrd deamon to fail" and causing the mesh backhaul to stall or restart. I take this with a pinch of salt but keep digging. I have turned off Fast Roaming, Beamforming, and isolated the devices it complains about, but no change.
So i am stuck, i have had wired devices in the past on a Google WIFI mesh which worked great, then moved to Deco and eventually put a wired machine back onto the network, didn't really think much about it until i started to stream media from it, then decided to connect a Raspberry PI to another Deco, and it is interesting that both fail and they seem to come back online at the same time.
Other wireless devices on the network seems fine, and i have never seen a problem with my FTTP connection or which Deco also acts as a router for that.
Anyone have any advice? Experience?
I can upload logs if needed if someone more knowledgeable than me can advise.
Thanks in advance :)
Mark.
