Hello TP-Link Community,

I’m experiencing a significant issue with my Archer C80 V2.0 router after updating to the firmware version 1.13.15 Build 240812 Rel.53972n(5553).

Before this update, I was getting excellent range and throughput, especially on the 2.4GHz band, even when I was far from the router. However, since the update, I’ve noticed that the 2.4GHz range has drastically decreased, and the performance is no longer as good.

Additionally, I’m facing a problem with the 5GHz band as well. Even when I am very close to the router, the 5GHz signal strength is extremely low, showing -50 dBm, which is quite frustrating.

Hello@Shahriar90 ,

Welcome to our community.

For your case, please try the following suggestions:

1. Optimize Wireless Settings:
• Go to Advanced > Wireless > Wireless Settings.
• For the 2.4GHz band, try setting the channel width to 20MHz, which can improve stability and range.
• For the 5GHz band, set the channel width to 40MHz or 80MHz, and try different channels to avoid interference.
• Make sure your Wi-Fi networks are enabled and not hidden.

2. Placement and Interference:
• Place your router in an open area, away from walls, metal objects, or electronic devices that could cause interference.
• Avoid placing the router inside a cabinet or on a shelf with limited airflow.

Do you remember the previous firmware version? Have you tried to reinstall it?
