Model: Tapo C410
Hardware Version: V10
Firmware Version: 1.2.1

The camera/PV combination doesn't last a week, while TP-Link claims up to 180 days.

Every evening, the Tapo app shows the battery is 100% charged!

Furthermore, I only operate it via IR and not a projector. It records to a 256GB microSD card in a loop.

180 days is 6 months, and it only works for 6 days.

Everything is new and tp-link / Tapo, tells lies.

180-day battery life is based on Tapo laboratory tests with 250s of use per day. The time of use includes recording and watching live views. Actual battery life may vary due to device settings, usage, router specifications, and environmental factors.

For your case, i recommend checking this article for troubleshooting suggestions. What to do if the battery drains quickly on my Tapo battery-powered camera/doorbell?
