Tapo C410 stuck as already added – cannot re-add after reset
I am facing an issue with one of my Tapo C410 cameras that I could not resolve despite trying all recommended troubleshooting steps.
The camera was previously working normally. After changing my home router, I removed the camera and tried to re-add it again. Since then, I keep getting a message that the camera has already been added, but it does not appear anywhere in the Tapo app.
For clarity, I have four Tapo cameras in total connected to the same network and account. The other three cameras are working perfectly without any issues. Only this specific camera is affected.
What I have already tried:
- Removed the device from the app (it does not appear in My Devices anymore)
- Performed multiple factory resets (including holding reset while powering on for more than 30 seconds)
- Tried adding the camera using a different Wi-Fi network (mobile hotspot)
- Tried a completely new Tapo account
- Reinstalled the Tapo app
- Ensured 2.4GHz Wi-Fi with WPA2 security
The LED keeps showing blue/pink, and the app says the camera is already added, but I cannot see or manage it in the app at all.
Based on this behavior, it seems the camera may still be bound on the cloud/server side or stuck due to a firmware or binding issue.
Could you please:
- Advise on how to recover it, or
- Confirm if the device needs replacement if this issue cannot be resolved remotely
