Hi

Having an issue with getting one of the transmitters to connect.

I have used these for years and never had much issue,

I have paired both extenders to the main transmitter, I do this in the one room to avoid moving throughout the house.

I then place one upstairs and that works fine.

I then place one in a Garage outside the house, This one will not reconnect.

Does the device have to be a particular distance from the base?

I have done this in reverse some years ago where I had no fibre to the house and had a 4G mobile connection stationed in the garage and transmitted it into the house with a powerline adaptor.

Any guidance would be great.

Hello @Gttrd ,

Thanks for reaching out.

The Powerline signal can be affected by the distance between devices, the quality of the wiring, and whether the garage is on the same electrical circuit as the main house. If the garage is on a separate circuit or too far from the base unit, the connection may not work reliably.

To Connect the primary Powerline adapter to your router's LAN port using an Ethernet cable. Plug the secondary Powerline extender into a power outlet (preferably on the same circuit), then press the pair button on both devices within one minute to establish a connection.

If suggestions don't help, try plugging the extender into a different outlet in the garage or closer to the main house to check if the connection improves. Also, avoid plugging Powerline devices into power strips or surge protectors, as these can interfere with the signal.
