Problems configuring an OpenVPN Server
I have configured an OpenVPN server using the Deco app. The process has been fairly to forward, I remember it was necessary to set up DDNS but after I finished it is still impossible to connect to the VPN and I am only getting time outs
I would appreciate some help with the issue.

Hi, welcome to the community.
Can I have the model number and firmware version of your Deco?
It is recommended to check whether the IPV4 address on the Deco App>More>Internet Connection is the same as the displayed IP address here:https://whatismyipaddress.com/.
-If not, there might be one more NAT/Firewall in front of the Deco, and you could refer to this link to open ports for the Deco VPN server:

Best regards.

@David-TP
Here is my model number: X50
and firmware version: 1.8.0 Build 25102213 Rel. 43970
after looking for the IP adress it indeed turned out, that those two adresses are not the same. However, to my knowledge Deco, where I configured my VPN, is the main router.
If not, how would I find the main routers management page?
Thanks

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.
The Gateway on the IPV4 settings is usually the management IP of the ISP-provided router.
Best regards.
