I have tried exhaustively to install my 10 light bulbs!

I've managed to install a maximum 6 then whilst adding the 7th the other six go offline.

This has also repeated after connection of 4th /5th then all but one remains.


Please help!

  • Please ensure your Tapo app is updated. You may try to delete and reinstall the app.
  • Try using another mobile device to do the configuration.
  • Do not enable VPN (if any) on your phone if any. 

 

Connect your phone to the same Wi‑Fi network as the light bulbs, disable cellular data, then close and reopen the app. While on the local network, check whether the bulbs appear in the app. If they show up locally but disappear when you try to control them remotely, such as over cellular data, this likely indicates a remote‑control connectivity issue. If that's the case, check the suggestion here. Cannot use the Tapo app to control my smart devices
