Hello,

I currently have a mesh set up with 3 x Deco P9 units around the house. I'm currently installing a Tado smart boiler thing which uses an internet bridge device that plugs into the network via ethernet cable and is charged via USB. As we know the P9 units don't have USB sockets in the them, so my question is - is there a way of utilising the ethernet sockets in the P9 units to power this dongle thing? Leaving aside my lack of technical knowledge on this sort of thing, are there male ethernet to female USB type adaptors that would enable me to plug this dongle directly into the the deco and have both power and connectivity? Thanks

edit: sorry, got my power requirements wrong! should be : are there male ethernet to male micro-USB type adaptors that would enable me to plug this dongle directly into the the deco and have both power and connectivity? I see TP link has something like this for USB-C: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/computer-accessory/ue300c/, but maybe not micro USB?

Hi, welcome to the community.

It is very likely that the Ethernet adapter would not work with theTado smart boiler.

These kinds of adapters are mainly used for the Windows computers OS. For other network devices, there hasn't been a system driver.

Best regards.
