Hi,

Firmware version 1.2.2 is now available for download from TP-Link's "Worldwide" website.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-be550/v1/#Firmware      (in case you get a pop-up asking you to "Go" to your regional website, then close it by clicking the X)

@Joseph-TP OK I've done that as best I can, sent screenshots and all the information you wanted.

Router is fine now since rolling back to 1.2.1

Meh, I've just rolled mine back to 1.21 and turned auto update off.

I'll check it once a month or so to see when 1.2.3 is out.

It sounded like Mtr77 wants to try this version to see if the implemented fixes for the Samsung S24 Ultra are working for him.

As for the LAN problem, to me it looks like TP-Link are still in the process of determining what configuration settings the affected BE550 have in common.

Updated February 2:

Hi All Users,

We have identified the cause of the unexpected behavior that occurred after updating the Archer BE550-v1 to firmware 1.2.2, resulting in wired client devices being unable to access the network even though they could still obtain IP addresses normally.

We have several feasible solutions for this; please choose the one that best suits your needs.

Solution 1: Enable QoS Feature on the router.

Solution 2: Manually roll back the firmware to version 1.2.1: https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/archer-be550/v1/#Firmware. This solution has already been verified by our users @Chaswina and  @NMarco.

Solution 3: The new firmware Archer BE550(EU)_V1_1.2.3 Build 20260127Archer BE550(JP)_V1_1.2.3 Build 20260127 have been released.  Please update the firmware to latest version.

Thank you again for your feedback, kind understanding, and support!

  @Joseph-TP

In my case, I applied QoS policies only to the LAN devices that were recognized and listed in the QoS configuration menu. The router extender does not appear in the QoS device list, so no policy could be applied to it.

In my network setup, I am using an RE655BE configured in EasyMesh with an Ethernet backhaul. Starting from firmware version 1.2.2, the entire Wi-Fi network becomes unstable and crashes.

As a precaution, I initially disabled Flow Control, and this appeared to resolve the issue temporarily. However, after a few days, the problem returned even with Flow Control disabled. I then applied the QoS policies described above, and this has resolved the issue so far.

At this point, I would like to ask whether it is safe or recommended to re-enable Flow Control, and whether it provides any benefit in this scenario.

Hi @Route97

It has been confirmed that Flow Control has no impact on this unexpected behavior.

You can keep QoS feature enabled. And wait till the next firmware update.

Best Regards.
