Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20250918 Rep 49303

I have a Deco X50-5G (as a fibre router with SIM card back-up) with a couple of X50 satellites. Recently some devices have been going offline - although they are still listed as connected with strong signals in the Deco app and they have IP addresses assigned.

Rebooting the Deco doesn’t make them come back online. Initially I thought it was a problem with the device (for example it was a Nest thermostat that first went offline) but now it’s also happening with an Apple HomePod and a Tapo doorbell so I’m starting to suspect the Deco.

In the Deco app I can still force them to use the 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz band and which Deco it connects to but nothing works. I have been able to ping them using WiFi tools but they are still inaccessible. The Deco reboots every day but that doesn’t seem to do anything.

I am not physically at the property so am unable to reboot the devices which are connected-but-not so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the model number of the Tapo Doorbell? Can you still manage the Doorbell on the Tapo App?

Will you come to the place where Deco X50-5G is located soon?

It is also suggested to run "Network Optimization" once, as it will reboot the WiFi of Deco to see whether it made any difference.

By the way, may I know your SIM ISP?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.
