Hello! I have a problem with a mesh network created with 5 BE25 decos with firmware 1.1.7 Build 14971.

 

I am experiencing micro-cuts, which cause the VPNs I use to disconnect while working with my clients.

 

Additional information:

The micro-cuts seem to only occur on the 5GHz band (2.4GHz is stable).

It affects multiple laptops with different WiFi adapters.

Latency spikes of 100-200ms with occasional timeouts.

I have already tried: changing backhaul to 'High Capacity', disabling beamforming, updating firmware, changing the main node.

Test adapter: Intel AC 9560 (WiFi 5).

Normal latency: 10-15ms. Problematic spikes: 100-200ms.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Have you tried to temporarily disable "Fast Roaming" as well as "Mesh Technology" to see whether they made any difference?

How often do you usually run into these micro-cuts?

Can I also have some screenshots of the network map on the Deco App, such as:

Hello! Thank you for your response. Yes, I tried disabling fast roaming, and also "Mesh Technology" on my laptop connection, but there are still micro-cuts. The micro-cuts are constant; I notice them because I have a page with the cameras in my house, and approximately every 30 seconds, they all go black together and then come back on by themselves. I don't know how to attach the map with the decos, right here... Sorry about that. Thank you! Ana

I'd like to follow up on your case via email and ask the senior engineer for further assistance.

You can update the email with the network maps as well as some screenshots about the ping latency over the 5GHz WiFi band.

Upgraded yesterday and now my wifi devices are disconnecting.
