Help with Random Disconnects (Events logs inside)
Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing a recurring issue where my PC randomly disconnects and reconnects to my TP-Link Deco X55 network.
Setup
- OS: Windows 11
- Wi-Fi Adapter: Intel AX200
- Driver Version: 23 .170 .1 . 1
What I’ve tried so far
I initially tried troubleshooting using ChatGPT by sharing logs from Windows Event Viewer and Deco logs. Based on the suggestions, I:
- Rolled back the Intel AX200 driver to version 23 .170 .1 . 1 (since newer 24.xx drivers appear unstable with Wi-Fi 6)
- Changed the following adapter settings:
- Preferred Band → Prefer 5GHz
- Roaming Aggressiveness → Lowest
- Channel Width for 2.4GHz → 20 MHz only
- Channel Width for 5GHz → Auto
- Transmit Power → Highest
- Throughput Booster → Disabled
- U-APSD → Disabled
- Fat Channel Intolerant → Enabled
Unfortunately, none of this helped.
Any human now can look at the windows log and tell me whats going on Cant Insert pastbin links here how can i share Windows Event logs
I’m hesitant to post the full DECO logs publicly due to MAC addresses, but between 6:30 AM and 6:37 AM the DECO logs show the following associate/disassociate loop repeating ~170 times:
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: wireless client associate or disassociate.
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client_mac:0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX, client_ifname:ath1, client_action:disassociate
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX) disassociate by if(ath1).
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: wireless client associate or disassociate.
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client_mac:0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX, client_ifname:ath1, client_action:associate
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX6) assocaite by if(ath1).
- Fri Feb 6 06:30:24 2026 daemon.err hostapd: hostapd_notif_disassoc num_sta 2
Any insight would be greatly appreciated — I’m hoping a fresh set of eyes can spot something I’m missing.
Thanks in advance!
