Hello everyone,

I’m experiencing a recurring issue where my PC randomly disconnects and reconnects to my TP-Link Deco X55 network.

Setup

  • OS: Windows 11
  • Wi-Fi Adapter: Intel AX200
  • Driver Version: 23 .170 .1 . 1

What I’ve tried so far

I initially tried troubleshooting using ChatGPT by sharing logs from Windows Event Viewer and Deco logs. Based on the suggestions, I:

  1. Rolled back the Intel AX200 driver to version 23 .170 .1 . 1 (since newer 24.xx drivers appear unstable with Wi-Fi 6)

  1. Changed the following adapter settings:
  • Preferred BandPrefer 5GHz
  • Roaming AggressivenessLowest
  • Channel Width for 2.4GHz20 MHz only
  • Channel Width for 5GHzAuto
  • Transmit PowerHighest
  • Throughput BoosterDisabled
  • U-APSDDisabled
  • Fat Channel IntolerantEnabled

Unfortunately, none of this helped.

Any human now can look at the windows log and tell me whats going on Cant Insert pastbin links here how can i share Windows Event logs

I’m hesitant to post the full DECO logs publicly due to MAC addresses, but between 6:30 AM and 6:37 AM the DECO logs show the following associate/disassociate loop repeating ~170 times:

  1. Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: wireless client associate or disassociate.
  2. Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client_mac:0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX, client_ifname:ath1, client_action:disassociate
  3. Fri Feb 6 06:30:21 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX) disassociate by if(ath1).
  4. Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: wireless client associate or disassociate.
  5. Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client_mac:0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX, client_ifname:ath1, client_action:associate
  6. Fri Feb 6 06:30:23 2026 daemon.err client_mgmt: client(0C-XX-XX-11-XX-XX6) assocaite by if(ath1).
  7. Fri Feb 6 06:30:24 2026 daemon.err hostapd: hostapd_notif_disassoc num_sta 2

Any insight would be greatly appreciated — I’m hoping a fresh set of eyes can spot something I’m missing.

Thanks in advance!

  @YahyaKm

Hi, thank you very much for the update.

Is the Windows 11 PC the only device that randomly dropped out? How about other mobile devices?

How often would the Windows PC usually drop out?

Please also disable "Mesh Technology" on the Deco App for this device:

If the Windows 11 PC stays in the same location most of the time, it is recommended to refer to this link to set a preferred Deco and wireless band/5GHz to see whether it helped: How to select a preferred signal source on the Deco App

Thanks a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks for your input,

in all honesty I have not seen any other device in my network disconnect and reconnect apart from my PC,

I have a few of them under connection alert, the only one that does that is my windows 11, at random time in a short burst period.

sometimes I see my PS5 disconnects, but rarely and I think because it goes into deep sleep.

I have already setup all my static devices not to use mesh technology. and my pc is forced to 5G already.

if there is anyway I can share the windows event log with you, maybe it would help diagnose the issue ?

if not, the event logs on 02/06/2026 between 06:24 → 06:40  shows:

Total 6062 - LSO was triggered entries in that window: 86

Total 7003 - Roam Complete entries: 700

Total 7021 - Connection telemetry entries: 5,097
