Private MAC Address and Randomisation bug
Since the last update, I'm having a bug with every samsung phone in the house where I will get the connection failed issue.
It registers in the app as private MAC, despite me selecting fixed. It won't let me connect with randomised at all, but the phone reverts. I resolved this by connecting and registering with 3 separate apps but its happening with every device in the home.
Eventually it fails again and I have to repeat the process and its driving me crazy.

Hi, do you still recall the original firmware, 1.1.0 Build 20250212 Rel. 12931?
(The 1.1.1 could revert to 1.1.0 directly via web UI)
Have you ever enabled "WiFi Access Control>Allow list" on the Deco App?
As this firmware has been released for about half a year, I haven't received similar feedback beore so I don't think it is due to the firmware upgrade.
How about the model number of the Samsung mobile phones?
Did you use one SSID for all 2.4+5+6GHz bands, or different SSIDs for each band?
Google search mentioned that if you have Developer Options enabled on your phone, there is a global setting that can force randomization even if you've selected "Phone MAC" for a specific network. Maybe you can go to Settings > Developer options to disable this option.
As you only highlighted the Samsung devices, how about other mobile devices? Would they all hold a stable connection?
Thank you very much.
Best regards.

Hi again,
Thanks for the response. I will try to revert to the previous version and report back.
With regards to access control, I don't see this within the app? Is it under a different name?
Here is a more detailed breakdown, and yes I am using separated SSIDs. I have also tried to combined and still get it occasionally.
The model of the Samsung phones are Galaxy 24U, Fold 4 and Fold 7. I did submit a bug report to Samsung as well, but essentially what is happening is every day, it'll fail to connect and automatically to randomise the MAC. It will receive a "failed to connect" to the 2.4/5Ghz network. For the 6ghz and MLO, I get "connection failed." I then go into the Wi-Fi settings, forget each of the networks, select phone MAC and I am able to connect. But sometimes I get the failed to connect on the 2.4/5ghz. What's weird also is, it still logs a client within the app. Only after connecting one and deleting can I connect to other networks. Weirdly, it keeps saying I have a private MAC and to get full connectivity I need to fix this, but it makes no difference. I am 100% certain there is some conflict with MAC addresses in the DECO app.
I was able to get some leeway by removing all clients and readding but that makes it harder unless I use the web app. Sadly not having as much luck with older devices like the Fold 4. I think what is weird here is, when I go into the WiFi settings later on, it reverts back to randomised MAC despite me not changing anything. I can't see any changelogs from Samsung to catch this issue, but that doesn't mean much. I have reported this to Samsung and they usually are fairly quick in all the reports I previous submitted.
Another weird bug I am having is the networks are reporting differing WiFi versions. Normally they all show as WiFi 7, but when this issue occurs they default to WIFI 5/6e. Eventually when its working again it comes up as 7, which makes me believe it is likely a Samsung issue.
I have also seen a few threads on Reddit having similar issues.
I will also check the developer options as I do have them enabled and may have ticked that in the past for some wireless debugging purposes.
I so far haven't seen this issue on any of my iOS / iPad OS / Windows / Mac OS devices. Strictly seems to be Samsung.
I posted here just in case others may have similar issues or you have seen this before
