Hi,

I have just bought the X1500 to extend the poor coverage of my PlusNet Hub 2 router.  I put the Hub 2 into Bridging mode and plugged one of the Deco devices in and connected to the Hub 2's ethernet ports.  After setting up the username and password information on the Deco device (and triple checking it), it cannot connect to my Hub 2.  It also has a continuous red light on the bottom of the Deco device.  I tried re-starting it, spoke to Plus Net support three times to check everything was ok on their end, but it still won't connect.

PlusNet have suggested that I look at a potential problem with the Deco devices as there are no problems with the Hub 2 or the credentials that I am entering.  Has anyone had any experience of this?  I just wanted to see if it was possible to set it up before I just return the mesh system for a refund.

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the community.

I saw some discussions mentioned Plusnet FTTP service needs an Internet VLAN ID 101. So, apart from the PPPOE credentials, it is also recommended to test with VLAN 101.

If it was still the same, have you tried to keep PlusNet Hub in the default wireless router mode, then set Deco into Access Point mode:

How to set up Deco to work in Access Point mode

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
