Hi,

Been all over trying to resolve this - the last firmware upgrade bricked one of my three M4s. The unit is stuck on a solid yellow - although it appears to suggest that's not possible on an M4, green being the only bricked colour. Anyway, I carry on.

I have followed the instructions, downloaded the latest version - only 1.7.x available on the download page ....

1. turn deco off and connect it to my macbook over ethernet

2. set the static IP4 address and mask as instructed 192.168.0.2/255.255.255.0 (didn't set any gateway)

3. hold down reset button on the unit and power it on - the light goes off, not green, or yellow, or any other colour. If I power on without the rest it goes solid yellow and I can't reach the webpage)

4. I go to192.168.0.1 in my browser and sure enough it has the download page up

5. I select the file and upload it

6. web page reports a success and the unit goes RED

7. i power cycle the unit and it comes back to this solid yellow/green colour

Any ideas out there?

Thanks, Paul.

UPDATE: So, I found the right file version, so I have upgraded (I think) the unit to 1.8.2, so all units on the same version. After a power cycle, the faulty unit stays solid yellow/green for a few minutes then goes to a solid red ... there we have it ...

Hi, if you hold the bottom reset pinhole only for one second, will this Deco M4 eventually turn to flashing blue?

If not, it still ends with solid red. Please contact the local technical support for further assistance:

Thank you very much.

Best regards.
