Can I setup ethernet back haul without internet access? I cant seem to get it up although I know my cables are working.

 

Why am I even doing this? Current just shifted house and I do not have internet broadband yet. I wanted to get it done before my ISP comes to enable my wifi, so that I can use it immediately and test.

Of course. Even without an internet connection, as long as the routers are connected via a wired cable, they should automatically establish the wired backhaul feature.

  @windqsp 

Im unable to get them to go wired even after changing to different CAT 6 cables that i know works. (Tried the included cable as well)

 

Any tips?

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Deco supports WAN/LAN Auto-sensing. If the main Deco can't receive a valid IP address from the front modem, it can't decide which one is the WAN port, which could cause the failure of Ethernet Backhaul, as it might fail to forward the IEEE 1905.1 packets through the cable connection to the satellite Deco.
