Hi all,

Ive been having a problem with my fairly recently purchased router.

Everything will be working fine, then out of no where the internet will drop out. The dashboard states that the DSL connection was lost and usually does not resolve itself. The only solution I've found is going to the internet connection setup page, not changing any of the PPPoE details but simply clicking save again. The connection is then restored for some amount of time.

Problem is it is fine some days, but other days this happens maybe 5-10 times and makes it unusable. Any help or ideas on what to try would be great

Hello @Exodus19 ,

Welcome to our community.

Here are some suggestions that may help:
1. Enable SRA (Seamless Rate Adaptation): Access your router's management page via tplinkmodem.net, log in, then go to Advanced > Network > DSL Settings, and enable SRA. This feature helps maintain a more stable DSL connection by allowing the router to adapt to line conditions dynamically.
2. Remove DSL splitters or filters: Connect your router directly to the front wall jacket (telephone socket) to reduce potential interference. Any splitters or filters in between can sometimes cause instability.
3. Replace the DSL cable: Try using a different DSL cable to rule out cable damage or poor quality as the cause of the dropouts.

Note: If you have tried these steps but they don't help, it's recommended to test with another DSL modem/router if available. If the problem occurs across multiple devices, it may be due to your ISP's line quality or service, and you should contact your ISP to verify the stability of your DSL connection.

If you've tried these steps and still need assistance, please contact local support.
