Thursday
Model: Archer BE230
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.5 Build 20260108 rel.68570(4555)

I have noticed that after updating to the latest firmware, 2.4 GHz randomly drops. Now it was dropped after 1 week since last router restart. 5 GHz wifi works fine.

I tried manually changing the 2.4 GHz to less congested channel without luck. Renabling wifi does not help. Full router reboot works.

Router WAN is directly connected to the wall and 2.4 GHz wireless devices  are mostly IoT devices. Ethernet throughout on desktop PC is as expected.

Hello @NeXusFIN ,

Welcome to our community.

Would you mind downgrading the firmware to Archer BE230(EU)_V1_1.2.1 Build 20250804? Please check if it can be resolved.

Please refer to case 2 of How to upgrade the firmware on the TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers.

  @Joseph-TP

I have now downgraded to 1.2.1 Build 20250804 rel.79639(4555) and I will let it run for a week.

An additional debug test I tried before downgrading was disabling Smart Connect, then disabling 5 GHz completely, leaving only 2.4 GHz WIFI active. 2.4 GHz network was visible in the spectrum. It showed up in my phone as well but the connection attempt immediately failed.
