I have searched but can't see an answer in the forums.

Is there a way to automate turning a schedule on and off?  (or is there another way to do what I want?!)

I have a small dehumidifier that I want to automate with a T310 sensor.   The dehumidifier does not auto defrost so I have found the best way to run it is to turn it ON for 1hr then turn it OFF for 1hr to let it defrost before I turn it on again etc.  I have been running it like this on a schedule to turn it on and off during the day.

The problem is that now I want to only run this schedule if the humidity is over 70%.  How can this be done?

The smart plug’s schedule feature cannot be controlled directly by an automation rule. However, you can achieve the same result by creating a time‑based automation that acts like a schedule. This setup allows you to enable or disable this “schedule” using another automation. How to create Smart Action (Automation or Shortcut) on Tapo app
