I have a new NX510V supplied by the TP-Link Store on Amazon , ie. NOT anything custom ISP.

 

I have an EE 5G SIM inserted and my ex-landline base-station connected to the RJ44 port.  It works for voice calls but there is an annoying echo at my end, something I have since found mentioned elsewhere in connection with this router, but not with solutions.

 

I have SIP ALG disabled, but it makes little difference.  How do I fix this please?

Can I have the model number of the Telephony base station?

Is the Telephony service provider also EE?

It's a Gigaset C610A

 

I am using a SIM, described as "5G EE Unlimited Calls, Texts & Data SIM".  I haven't arranged or bought any telephony beyond that.  It works fine apart from the echo which makes it almost unusable, so any answers would be most welcome.

  @AndrewOA liitle time has passed but the voice echo problem persists, and I'm wondering if there are any suggestions to move this forwards.  Is the problem likely to reside in the router, the EE network, or the Gigaset phone I have connected?  The Gigaset is probably at leat 10 years old.  I am considering trying something newer, but before wasting money it would be good to check in for a second opinion, and maybe get insider knowledge of products known to work well.
