Model: Archer VR400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.6.0 0.9.1 v00a1.0 Build 250909 Rel.35514n

After turning on the device, I establish a wireless connection via my mobile phone or tablet. After a while, the connection drops. To reconnect, I manually select "reconnect." It cannot obtain a new IP address; it appears as "saved." To reconnect, I need to restart the device or the Wi-Fi.

The connection dropping and I can't reconnect.

It doesn't happen every day. If there was continuity, I would call it a technical malfunction. If it is not continuous, it does not constitute a technical malfunction.

No laptop, using wired connection on desktop PC too.

I think it's an issue with the rental period. I tried the maximum duration, it didn't work. I reset the device, but it didn't change anything. I thought one of the devices might have a virus, so I reset all the devices to factory settings. It's still happening.

This modem bothered me, so I got a VC220-G3u v2. I've been using another Tp-Link product for two days now and there are no problems.

I should mention that I don't speak any foreign languages, so I used a translation tool.

It means your router has a Wi-Fi issue (likely firmware or hardware problem) causing disconnections and failed reconnections. Since a new router works fine, the old one is likely faulty or unstable.

@MrSimon I'm having problems with my "Archer VR400" modem; the other modem works fine. I downloaded and updated the firmware, but it didn't change anything. I've used previous updates as well. I was experiencing the same problem when using the older updates. The problem occurs at different times of the day; sometimes the connection drops, sometimes it doesn't reconnect.
