Model: Archer T6E
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version:

Hi, I made the decision to remove windows and switch to Ubuntu 24. The problem I have encountered is that Ubuntu will not recognise the T6E WiFi card (or driver, to be precise) at all. I have spent hours searching for a solution with no real success. This is not an isolated problem because many other people having the same problem. It appears that there is a major problem with the Broadcom 4360 driver being incompatible with a Linux OS. Do you have any suggestions, please?

Hello @appsy ,

Most TP-Link network adapters, including the T6E, do not have official TP-Link drivers for Linux, as Linux drivers are open-source and typically integrated into the system. However, you can explore alternative drivers provided by developers in Linux forums.

Please be aware that these drivers have not been tested by TP-Link, so we cannot guarantee their performance and stability.

For Linux driver installation issues, you may also refer to this FAQ: Most frequent questions when installing Linux driver of Wi-Fi Adapter

Since you mentioned the Broadcom 4360 chipset specifically, you might also want to search for community-developed drivers tailored to this chipset on Linux forums and Ubuntu community resources, as there are often specific solutions available for Broadcom wireless adapters on Linux systems.

  @appsy

Hi,

I think your best bet to get it working would be to follow instructions you can find on the Internet.

  @appsy Thanks woozle, I followed that link and had already run the commands with no success! Any other suggestions, please? For interest sake, it appears that this issue very widespread and there doesn't seem to be an answer. Considering the widespread dislike of Windows, in particular Windows 11, the amount of users dumping Microsoft products and switching to Linux systems, the issue is only going to get bigger. In addition to this Broadcom aren't interested in attending to the BCM4352 driver either. We need help!
