Model: Archer BE230
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version:

I'm using BE230 with 2.5 Gbps LAN port both router and PC. It has flawless performance as a network share with 170/190 MB/s speed. Yesterday I tried to add more hdd with usb hub (TP-Link UH700) however they cant mount correctly. In fact they mounted but BE230 mount 3 same size hdds as 1 hdd. I think it has a problem with assign a letter for every hdd's mounted it.

Hello @Byron100 ,

Welcome to our community.

Please note that TP-Link routers are not designed to work directly with multi-bay HDD enclosures or USB hubs that connect multiple storage devices. The USB ports on TP-Link routers are intended for connecting storage devices directly, not for connecting multiple drives through hubs or enclosures.

This is why your BE230 is mounting your 3 HDDs as a single HDD: the router's USB sharing functionality isn't designed to handle multiple drives connected through a hub and cannot properly assign separate identities to each drive in this configuration.

For optimal performance and proper recognition, you would need to connect each HDD directly to the router's USB port one at a time, rather than using a USB hub to connect multiple drives simultaneously.

Best Regards.
