Hi,
The Deco X1500 and Deco X10 are different models, and their firmware releases differ accordingly. We do not have specific information on when new firmware for the Deco X1500 will be released. It's recommended to visit our official website, search for the Deco X1500, go to its Support page, and tap the Firmware section to see the detailed firmware release info.

@David-TP seems to suggest they use the same firmware. https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/838582

Hi,
Deco X1500 and Deco X10 share the same firmware download link, but during the upgrade process, the hardware will automatically detect the device model and locate the appropriate firmware files.
It's recommended to update the Deco X1500's firmware in the Deco app when the new firmware is available. However, if you'd like to try version 1.4.0, you can upgrade it manually via the web UI by downloading the firmware from here (https://www.tp-link.com/support/download/deco-x10/v1/#Firmware).

Hi and thanks for the quick reply. I was under the impression the firmware and hardware were the same just a different model number for different sales channels. I would rather wait and update the firmware via the app which was the reason for my initial post. I assumed if firmware 1.4.0 was available for the X10 surely it would also be available for the X1500 at the same time as they are the same.

@Solla-topee If I do manually update to 1.4.0 and have any issues can I roll back to 1.3.0 manually or via firmware recovery method and also will future OTA updates still work.

Hi,
You can refer to the following instructions to roll back from v1.4.0 to v1.3.0 if needed. And the future firmware updates still work.
