Manual Firmware Update: Can I use EU builds on my Archer AX53 V1 (US)?
Hi TP-Link Community / Support, I have a quick technical question regarding manual updates for my Archer AX53 V1 (US Version). Right now I am on an older base firmware and I want to update manually to get the latest features like EasyMesh and WireGuard. The problem is that the US support portal doesn't seem to have the download links for the latest builds right now, while the EU site has version 1.5.4 Build 20251029 available for download. Since the US site is lagging behind on the links, I was wondering a couple of things:
1. Is the firmware for the AX53 V1 universal? Can I safely flash the bin file from the EU site onto my US hardware or will I get a region mismatch error?
2. If I use the EU firmware, will the router maintain its FCC transmit power and US-specific channels like 149-161, or will it switch to the more restrictive CE standards? I really don't want to lose my current signal range or "nerf" the WiFi just to get the new features.
I'd appreciate any clarification on whether these files are interchangeable or if I should just wait for the US site to be updated. Thanks for the help!
