All non-main Decos "not connected" but I think they *are*
Tuesday - last edited Wednesday
Model: Deco M5
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.9.1

For the past few days, the Deco app consistently tells me there are 7 Decos offline. I have 8 Decos in the house, and only the Main one is seen to be online. Yet all the 7 other Decos have a green lights and there seem to be no internet connectivity problems throughout the house. What's up?

@Cronos I have the exact same problem. 4 Deco M5s in my network, the 3 satellite ones show as not connected in the app. Everything appears to be working fine though, they all have a green light and devices can connect to them.

I first noticed it a week or two ago.

Hi,
For the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information for further analysis.

  1. Are the Deco operating in Router or AP mode?

  2. Please describe your network topology in detail, whether the Deco units are connected via Ethernet cable or wirelessly.

  3. What's the hardware version of your Deco M5?

  4. Please refer to the instructions below to send us the Deco app log. After that, please attach your reference number (such as email TKIDXXX) to the thread so we can find it quickly.

1) I configured them so that I can have internet in the whole house. Don't remember if this is Router or AP. But do remember: Everything still seems to work fine, and the app showed everything connected until about a week ago.

2) One is connected to the fibre modem. The rest all wireless.

3) To be honest I can't be bothered to check them all, but I checked a few and they're v3.

4) Done. But I had no idea which reference number to include so I added the name of this thread.

If you go into the deco app and click on More at the bottom then Advanced you will now see Operation Mode at the top  it should say either Wi-Fi Router or Access Point

Thanks

I have exactly the same problem. I have a total of 8 deco devices. About half of the are P9 and the rest are E4R. 6 of them are connected via Ethernet and two connect via your air interface. Can I be contacted as well regarding this issue?

Hi,
Please provide the information in this post for further analysis.
  1) Do you have a switch in your Deco network? Please describe which Deco is connected to which, via Wi-Fi or wired.
  2) After you send us the Deco app log, please remember to post the reference number to the thread or let us know you have sent the log so we can find it for further analysis.
Best Regards
