TP-Link BE230 2.4Ghz drops occassionally on firmware 1.3.1
TP-Link BE230 2.4Ghz drops occassionally on firmware 1.3.1
My TP-Link BE230 was running 1.3.1 and the 2.4Ghz radio dropped occasionally, while the 5Ghz remained on. Only a reboot was fixing the issue. This was not due to interference, I was using the least congested channel, Smart Connect was off. Does anyone else experience this problem?
I have now update the router to the beta Archer BE230_V2_1.3.1 Build 20260317(Beta Firmware) and I will be monitoring the situation. Needless to say, I think we are all expecting a new stable firmware that would fix this issue, along with the reported earlier SMB causing reboot problems.

Thanks a lot for the advice. But enabling EasyMesh won't solve the problem. I always had EasyMesh enabled, and 2.4 GHz kept stopping working.
I just disabled EasyMesh yesterday, as Google AI suggested. Every 10 seconds, my bot makes three pings to my laptop and smart home. My bot notifies me if the three pings to my laptop or laptop and smart home fail. So far, all three pings to my laptop have failed only once, and 2.4 GHz hasn't failed yet. But previously, 2.4 GHz hasn't failed for 3-5 days.

@Joseph-TP Hello Joseph, I am also having 2.4Ghz's SSID disappearing and not becoming available again until the router has been restarted.
I am on BE230 V2, Firmware v1.3.1.
My 2.4ghz is already on 20Mhz, this does not help. this is not a problem of instability, the SSID simply stops showing, and ALL my 2.4ghz devices drop at once.
I did not have this problem previously.
I am thinking the '2.4Ghz SSID problem' is not limited to V1, but also with V2.

Hello @Sidon ,
I previously responded here regarding the fact that firmware version 1.1.x was released later than firmware version 1.3.x.
Please be advised that firmware v1.3.1 is an early-release version that already incorporates the features available in the v1.1.x series, as well as new functionalities planned for future releases. Since v1.3.1 is strategically positioned ahead of the v1.1.x series in terms of feature integration, there is no need to transition between these separate tracks.
We are preparing a unified firmware update that will synchronize all devices onto the same version path in the future.
Regarding the Bufferbloat issue you mentioned, I have already replied here. I also suggest you reply to me directly in that post so that I can follow up on your feedback more easily.

Hello @BobbySup ,
Is there any update for your router now? Is the 2.4GHz network connection stable now?

@Joseph-TP Hello! The issue with the 2.4Ghz radio started from the very beginning, I purchased the router one month ago and it was automatically updated to firmware 1.3.1. I have now set the channel width to 20Mhz and I am testing. I will let you know if the problem persists. Thank you.

Hello @AnonymousTepid ,
It does look very strange. Did this abnormal behavior start after the update to 1.3.1? Would you mind trying this beta firmware and checking if it helps?
In addition, have you enabled SMB sharing on your router? If yes, please disable it for comparison.
