@galessan
Hello,
Thank you for your post.
At the moment, it is not supported to manually set a custom power‑on (default) position for the camera. However, under normal circumstances, after powering on, the camera should automatically return to the position that was last set in the app.
If the camera does not return to the correct position, it is possible that the pan/tilt mechanism was manually moved by hand at some point, which can cause the internal position reference to become inaccurate. We recommend the following steps:
1.Open the Tapo app and select your camera.
2.Go to Camera Settings > Pan & Tilt.
3.Tap Pan & Tilt Correction and complete the calibration.
4.After calibration, adjust the camera only through the app to the desired viewing angle.
Once this is done, please continue to observe the behavior and avoid manually rotating the camera by hand, as this may cause the issue to recur.
If you would like to test this, please adjust the camera’s viewing angle in the app, wait for about one minute, then power off the camera and turn it back on. After rebooting, please check whether the camera returns to the position you set.
Best Regards.
