Xx530v XPON loop issue
Dear Team,
I am writing to bring two potential software-related issues to your attention that I believe warrant investigation and resolution.
1. **MAC Cloning and PPPoE Download Speed Limitation:** When utilizing MAC cloning for a PPPoE connection, I observed a consistent download speed limitation of 50 Mbps. This issue was resolved after my Internet Service Provider (ISP) released the MAC binding.
2. **Persistent EPON Registration Loop:** The router intermittently enters an EPON registration loop. This occurs daily, even after a scheduled nightly reboot. To resolve this, I must power down the device for two minutes, disconnect the optical cable, and then reconnect it once the router has fully initialized. I am uncertain if this behavior is linked to serial number spoofing and would appreciate any insights or assistance from the community or support team.

Furthermore, I would like to suggest the implementation of a dashboard feature that provides detailed data consumption statistics per device. Integrating this with cloud synchronization would be highly beneficial, ensuring data persistence even after system reboots.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Indrajit

@IndrajitIG @Kevin_Z To my knowledge Operator OLT always runs with invertor backup, here my cable operators OLT runs 24*7, My router not connected with invertor so i am facing EPON registering loop after power resume, but one of my neighbor router(Netlink) works with invertor backup has active internet connection during power termination in my area. But problem here is all other four other ONU(netlink) able to work immediatley after power resume in my area but my tplink xx530v some time successful with EPON Registration other time its falling into EPON registering Loop after power resume (I able to Verify all this in my neighbors ONU(netlink), because i have all five neighbors landline number so ill dial immediately to respective landline number after this power cycle)
** No, an ONU does not need a PPPoE profile for the initial EPON registration with the OLT
** ONU Registration is a Layer 2 process where the ONU and OLT establish physical connectivity and optical synchronization. PPPoE is a Layer 3 process used for internet authentication and IP address assignment. I to seen all logs of this xx530v but it's all related to PPPOE , router does not showing any log related to Multipoint Control Protocol (MPCP). in log we wont able to see any GATE msg related logs.

Hello @Ram_Eswar @IndrajitIG
Thank you both for your continued contribution to the analysis of this unexpected behavior. We appreciate it a lot.
I've escalated both of your cases to our engineers via your registered email addresses. Please check your email inbox for further follow-up.
Kindly update the community once there is a solution found or provided by our engineers.

Hi @Kevin_Z seems like the firmware share to us on mail fixed the issue. I tried but it did not got stuck to registration loop till now.
Hi @Ram_Eswar, Are you able to reproduce it with the new firmware?

Thank you very much for your quick update.
As far as I can confirm, it seems the engineer sent you the same firmware we shared here in the following community to resolve the speed issue caused by PPPoE MAC Clone:

Can you confirm?
@IfranAli as said above, I assume it's a newer beta firmware provided by the development team earlier to resolve the reported speed issue.

I believe you've already tried the beta firmware here?

@Kevin_Z Ah okay, so they are using the beta firmware/released brazilian firmware? I thought they got a customized version of the said firmware.
I think EPON is still bugged and requires detailed testing by Engineers and release another beta firmware for client testing.
